El Ruido proveniente del pie o tobillo es una afección en que la que se siente una sensación de chasquido o escucha un sonido como tronarse los dedos cada vez que mueve las extremidades inferiores.

La sensación de tronadura ocurre cuando un musculo o tendón (el tejido fuerte que conecta el musculo con el hueso) se mueve sobre una protuberancia ósea en los pies.

Aunque el chasquido en cualquier lugar suele ser indoloro e inofensivo, la sensación puede ser molesta. En algunos casos, el chasquido o ruido de tronazón del pie puede provocar bursitis, una inflamación dolorosa de los saos llenos de liquido que amortiguan las articulaciones.

Cuando el chasquido/estallido del tendón sigue a un trauma importante, es posible que se haya producido un desgarro de las estructuras de soporte de los tejidos blandos y que se justifique una consulta ortopédica si el chasquido es doloroso o limita la función.
